Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work full-time in Barnet. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £25 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an Ongoing contract.
Job role:
- Working with the Activity Coordinator to provide an Occupational Therapy service that meets the needs of the patients on Ken Porter ward.
Duties:
- To work with clients to identify OT goals as part of the overall care plan, using intermediate care and OT assessment tools.
- Together with the Activity Coordinator, design and regularly review the activity programme ensuring that it reflects patients' interests and needs
- To establish and maintain effective care through the holistic and comprehensive assessment of service users' needs in accordance with CPA policy and procedures.
- To complete comprehensive risk assessments and risk management plans.
- To be proficient in reasoning and in determining intervention strategies in complex situations for patients with complex needs
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Must have 2 years' experience
