Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work based in Flint, within the Adaptations Team.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £24.92 per hour (assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Main Duties:
- Support adults of all ages in their own homes across Flintshire.
- Use a strengths focused approach to carry out collaborative assessments with people to determine their outcomes, analysing their functional abilities, their environments, and significant occupations prior to making recommendations and carrying out interventions.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- At least two years of post-qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
- A good working knowledge of equipment and both minor and major adaptations alongside knowledge of techniques and condition management will help the applicant increase the independence and wellbeing of those with complex physical conditions and other associated conditions.
- A good understanding and experience of manual handling and supporting legislation would be invaluable in this post.
- Excellent communication skills are required to work with multi- disciplinary team members, citizens, and their families as well as other agencies that support our practice.
- Excellent recording and computer skills are also required.
- A good structure of supervision and support is available for the successful applicant, in line with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Career Framework guidance.
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
