Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Health and Wellbeing Nurse to work full-time in Plymouth. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Health Nurse job is £22.70 per hour (Assignment rate)) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Requirements of the Occupational Health Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in nursing
- Current NMC registration
- Preferably experience in the delivery of Occupational Health activities
- Experience/knowledge of undertaking health surveillance such as audiometry, spirometry, HAVS etc., and undertaking medicals such as forklift truck, working at height and confined space etc.
- Experience/knowledge of Health and Safety, risk assessment, clinical audit, research, evidence based practice within clinical setting and policy/procedural development.
- Experience/knowledge of Immunisation and Screening for healthcare workers and workers at risk of occupational disease.
- Up to date awareness and understanding of the NHS strategy and agenda, national directives, other DoH, CQC and HSE legislation, SEQOHS and all governance aspects, specifically related to work, health and well-being.
- Demonstrable experience of IT systems including e-mail, Word, Excel etc. with speed and accuracy of computer skills
- Evidence of meeting regulatory (i.e. recent and relevant) CPD/Revalidation
