Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Non Medical Prescriber to work full-time based in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Substance Misuse Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The salary for this permanent Non-Medical Prescriber role is £34,511 - £37,660 per annum.
Duties:
- Clinically assess service user needs and plan clinical care accordingly
- Diagnose and manage on an individual need's basis, integrating both drug and nondrug based treatment methods into a management plan, in conjunction with the Recovery Coordinator
- Identify and assess suitability of service users for in-patient alcohol and opioid detoxification as appropriate
- Proactively review and manage clinical treatment plans of the service user
- Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness appropriate to service user needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and local protocols, and within scope of practice
Requirements of the Non-Medical Prescriber:
- Degree or equivalent in nursing
- Prescribing qualification
- Current NMC registration
- Significant experience as a Non-Medical Prescriber
- Substance Misuse experience
