Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Non-Medical Prescriber to work full-time based in Cheltenham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Substance Misuse Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this Non-Medical Prescriber role is negotiable and this role is an initial 2-month contract.
Duties:
- To engage with people who have substance misuse problems and providing them with advice, screening and clinical interventions to address their substance misuse issues, and primary health care (including blood borne viruses).
- To liaise with the Doctor to offer substitute prescribing regimes to improve social functioning and in relation to changes to client treatment.
- To develop and progress community detoxification, taking the lead in ensuring that the GDAS Recovery service has a comprehensive and open response community detoxification.
Requirements of the Non-Medical Prescriber:
- Degree or equivalent in nursing/NMP
- Current NMC registration
- Significant experience as a Non-Medical Prescriber
- Substance Misuse experience
