Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber to fill a full-time role in Reading. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Substance Misuse Nursing and be registered with the NMC.

The pay rate for this Non-Medical Prescriber role is £40 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and this role is an initial 3-month contract.

Duties:

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment / interventions and care for service users.
  • Clinically assess service user needs and plan clinical care accordingly.
  • Diagnose and manage on an individual need's basis, integrating both drug and non-drug-based treatment methods into a management plan, in conjunction with the Recovery Coordinator.
  • Identify and assess suitability of service users for in-patient alcohol and opioid detoxification as appropriate.
  • Assess, identify and refer patients presenting with mental health needs.
  • Work with service users to support concordance to prescribed treatments.

Requirements of the Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber:

  • Degree or equivalent in nursing/NMP
  • Current NMC/GPhC registration
  • 2 years substance misuse prescribing experience
