Job Title: Night Veterinary Surgeon
Location: West Sussex – Storrington & Chichester
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per annum depending on experience
Shift times: 7:00pm – 8:00am
Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a dedicated Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our Emergency Vet Team, ensuring outstanding care and support to our clients and their pets.
Role Overview:
As a Night Veterinary Surgeon, you will be integral to our 24/7 emergency service, working from our hospitals in Storrington and Chichester. You will uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence, provide exemplary service, and collaborate effectively with colleagues to manage the unpredictable nature of the veterinary caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and maintain excellent clinical ECC knowledge and skills.
- Uphold and regularly review clinical policies and SOPs, ensuring all documentation is current.
- Maintain operational efficiency and seamless communication between staff for excellent patient care.
- Assist in implementing and upholding RCVS Practice Standards.

Requirements:
- RCVS registered veterinary surgeon
- Certificate in ECC is an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years working in an ECC environment
- Coaching or mentoring experience is an advantage
- Excellent clinical ECC knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable leadership capabilities
- Proven ability to coach and mentor
- Proactive mindset with initiative
- Problem-solving mentality with a solutions-based approach
- Ability to work logically under pressure
- Confident but aware of limitations
- Ambitious and self-motivated
