Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 8a MSK Physiotherapist to work based in Camden.

The pay rate for this locum MSK Physiotherapist job is £34-£37 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.

Main Duties:

  • To work within the Camden MSK service as an autonomous Advanced Physiothearpy Practitioner (APP) in conjunction with UCLH colleagues.
  • To ensure the delivery of appropriate GP referral triage in line with evidence-based pathways ensuring optimal management strategies are adopted for each patient from receipt of referral.
  • To carry out face to face clinical assessment clinics for the Camden MSK service and a secondary care Orthopaedic clinic at the Royal Free
  • To facilitate an Integrated Pathway for the management of complex MSK conditions supporting between Secondary Care and Primary Care via MSK Pathway Transformation and Development.
  • As an autonomous practitioner to provide a highly specialised clinical physiotherapy service and advanced practitioner service to a range of musculoskeletal outpatients, including those with highly complex presentations and to provide expert clinical opinion when needed.
  • Use expert clinical reasoning skills to provide highly specialist support and advice to the physiotherapy and other clinical staff, within and outside the organisation.
  • To assist the Service leads with and participate in the continuing education and training programme within the Camden MSK Service.
  • To undertake a secondary care Orthopaedic clinic
  • To facilitate collaborative working practices and liaison between the Camden MSK, Physiotherapy departments, Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Pain Services etc and Camden GPs.
  • To work with the Camden MSK clinical team to develop pathways and policies for the management of patients with MSK conditions.

Requirements of the MSK Physiotherapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist
  • At least two years of post-qualifying experience working as a Physiotherapist
