Sanctuary Health is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 6 Microbiology Biomedical Scientist to fill a full-time role based in Durham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Biomedical Scientist practices and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Biomedical Scientist job is £25 - £26 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 2-month contract with possible extension.
Requirements of the Biomedical Scientist:
- HCPC registered
- Must have a relevant qualification in biomedical science (BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or alternative qualification)
- 2 years' experience
- Microbiology experience
- Required to work Monday to Thursday. 09:00 - 17:30 (37.5 hours a week)
- Experience Microbiology including expertise bacteriology, significant experience of NHS working.
- Need for significant lab experience microbiology recently IN THE NHS experience in microbiology as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist band 6.
- Need to be able to use and trouble shoot analysers and process and read a wide range of specimen types.
- Need to be able to work independently and manage own time, organisation skills.
- Use of Winpath would be an advantage.
