Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to fill a full-time role based in Coventry. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Mental Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this Mental Health Practitioner job is £22.00 - £23.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Undertake assessments for people who have attended an acute general hospital and have been identified as requiring an assessment of their mental health
- Make independent decisions about the appropriate next steps in respect to safely and effectively managing the patient's mental health needs
- Provide a broad range of specialist psychosocial treatments for individual patients
Requirements of the Mental Health Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained)
- NMC registration and a valid live pin
- Ability to engage challenging and/or acutely distressed patients in potentially hostile and/or antagonistic situations
