Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Mental Health Occupational Therapist to work in Wandsworth on a full-time basis, within the Behaviour & Communication Support Service.
The pay rate for this locum Mental Health Occupational Therapist job is £27 - £29 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Agile working is in place at SWLSTG, and in this role you will expected to be present in the office three days a week, working remotely two days a week (Monday - Friday, 09:00 am – 17:00 pm).
Duties:
- Work as part of a multi-professional team and will be responsible for providing high quality care co-ordination for clients displaying behaviours that challenge people with dementia and their carers by providing robust holistic assessments and formulating and aiding implementation of care plans
- Care co-ordinate and manage a defined caseload under the supervision of the Clinical Lead bringing an OT perspective to the formulation of challenging behaviours, in particular using meaningful occupation/ activities as an intervention
- Play a significant role in team discussions relating to clinical work, take part in the service duty rota and will participate in audit/ research projects associated with the work of the service when required
Requirements of the Mental Health Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
- An enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience in working with older adults
