Pay Rates:

  • PAYE: £16.93 per hour
  • Umbrella: £22.05 per hour

Overview

Sanctuary Personnel is looking for a committed and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Lecturer to join an education provider in Ilford. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-standard education both in the classroom and through online platforms across the county.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and delivery of engaging learning programmes.

  • Take part in recruitment and enrolment activity, including preparing course content and advising potential learners.

  • Offer advice and guidance regarding course options and wider education or employment pathways.

  • Carry out initial assessments and work collaboratively with learners to create individual learning and development plans.

  • Support curriculum development by producing and updating teaching resources and materials.

  • Plan and deliver lessons tailored to individual needs, embedding core topics like English, maths, safeguarding, equality, and sustainability.

  • Deliver high-quality sessions using a range of teaching approaches, including online methods.

  • Provide additional or personalised support where required, especially for learners with extra needs.

  • Track learner progress through regular assessments and provide feedback.

  • Prepare students for examinations and final assessments, maintaining a focus on positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. DTLLS, CertEd or equivalent)

  • A relevant qualification in the subject area – must be at least NVQ Level 3 or above and ideally one level higher than the content being taught

  • Experience in teaching post-16 or adult learners

  • A background in supporting students with additional needs or those who present challenging behaviour
