Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Band 7 Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to work full-time based in Redbridge in the Learning Disability Team.
The pay rate for this locum Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist role is £32.56 per hour (assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties:
- Lead SALT for the LD Team responsible for Speech and Language Therapist Band 5.
- Majority of work is Dysphagia related carrying out assessments and reviews.
- Carry a full caseload which incorporates cases with priority SLT needs and also provides specialist individual SLT assessments, joint working with Acute services.
- MDT working with other LD Clinicians.
- Long and short term interventions; and advice and signposting.
- Providing Supervision to Band 5 SLT.
Main duties:
- Provide SLT assessment , diagnosis and treatment to children and young people 0-19 with SLCNs in locality area
- Carry out specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people with complex needs under the supervision of senior staff to an appropriate level to reflect clinical experience
- Work in a variety of settings, including Early Years and mainstream settings
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registered as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
