Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Learning Disabilities Occupational Therapist to work in Whiston on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £25.23 - £25.78 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Managing a clinical caseload of adults with Learning Disabilities and/or complex needs
- Overseeing all aspects of OT process including assessment, intervention, evaluation and safe discharge from the service
- Conducting functional assessments and providing therapy programmes/recommendations to maximise occupational performance
- Assessment for aids/adaptations including specialist seating, posture management, bathing equipment amongst others
- Environmental assessments
- Supporting a therapy assistant to complete OT interventions
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
- Must be a car driver
