Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Lead Dispensary Pharmacist to work full-time based in Dartford.
The pay rate for this locum Lead Dispensary Pharmacist job is £31-£32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 1-month contract.
Working Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 9am-5:15pm.
- 8:30am-4:45pm if on dispensary rota, responsibility for opening the pharmacy.
Main Duties:
- Provide ward-based clinical pharmacy support to mental health, intermediate care, and elderly care wards. This includes professional advice on policies and pharmaceutical practice, and clinical advice related to the uses and side-effects of medicines.
- Work with the pharmacy patient safety lead to implement medicines safety initiatives within designated wards.
- Participate in the dispensary and other internal rotas.
- Participate in the on-call rota when required.
- Provide information about the use of medicines to consultants, other prescribers, other health care professionals, patients, relatives, and carers.
- Record information as required on clinical pharmacy activity.
- Participate in the medicines information rota, providing clinically sound, evaluated information on a wide variety of complex enquiries to service users and all grades of health care professionals.
Requirements of the Lead Dispensary Pharmacist:
- Must be registered on the GPHC as a pharmacist.
- Must have a relevant qualification in pharmacy.
- Recent experience working as a pharmacist within the NHS or similar setting.
