Sanctuary Social Care is looking for an experienced and dedicated Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to work full-time in Torbay, within the Child Protection Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Independent Reviewing Officer job is £41 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Requirements of the Independent Reviewing Officer:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within a similar role
- Must be experienced in managing and chairing complex Conferences and Strategy Meetings.
- Must be able to offer a robust and independent oversight of practice, which supports contribution to wider improvement initiatives.
- Experience of working with and a commitment to, strengths based, and restorative approaches would be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to engage meaningfully with professionals and children and their families is essential.
- Must show strong values and practice in taking a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and families.
