Sanctuary Social Care is looking for an experienced and dedicated Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to work full-time in Bromley. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Independent Reviewing Officer job is £42 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
2 locum Reviewing Officers who are committed to making a real difference for children and young people in the London Borough of Bromley.
Duties of the Independent Reviewing Officer:
- To be responsible for preparing for and chairing looked after reviews for children and for identifying any issues that may be impacting on their welfare or preventing them from achieving permanence in a timely manner.
- To be responsible for chairing initial and review child protection conferences.
Requirements of the Independent Reviewing Officer:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within a similar role
- You will need to have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, flexible, innovative and strong enough to challenge others when the needs of children are not being met so you need to be persistent and courageous.
- Must have management experience within statutory children's social care.
- Must have a satisfactory DBS
