Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Interim Public Health Consultant to fill a full-time role within an Adults' Services based in Bradford.

The pay rate for this locum Interim Public Health Consultant job is £500-£600 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Duties:

  • To ensure the population of the district is protected at all times and steps are taken to robustly mitigate potential or actual risk (including Covid-19) to the health of the population
  • To work closely with and support the relevant Consultants in Public Health and the Director of Public Health to agreed priorities for Health Protection including those related to Covid-19 including Track and Trace reporting formats, schedules and risk/alert management
  • To support leadership around the assurance role of Public Health for Health protection and support the lead Consultant in effective delivery of the Health Protection aims and objectives
  • To work independently with Public Health Consultants in the Council, Public Health England (PHE) and NHS England and other partners with their key leads including on areas such as Track and Trace, Swabbing, Contact Tracing and IPC (in conjunction with IPC manager)
  • To lead on providing assurance and support to ensure that all COVID-19 health protection programmes are delivered
  • To take an active role to representing CBMDC, Public Health in IMT and OCT meetings chaired by PHE or supporting IMT/OCT CBMDC chaired meetings as appropriate , ensuring accurate records are maintained
  • To develop and maintain a robust system of communications and reporting between CBMDC Public Health and partners
  • To agree risk management and reporting protocols between CBMDC Public Health and partners
  • To represent Public Health at key meetings and to support the Consultant in Public Health with all media enquiries and to be involved when required
  • Interpret national policies and guidance and work with organisations with regard to all aspects of Health protection and defined Public Health areas and to ensure these are put fully into practice.
  • To skilfully use available data and intelligence and evidence based approaches to ensure best impact of policies and projects to protect the public

Requirements:

  • Must be registered with GMC/ GDC Specialist List/ UKPHR
  • Management experience is essential.
