Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Interim Consultant in Public Health to work full-time based in Knowsley.
The pay rate for this locum Interim Consultant in Public Health job is negotiable.
Job purpose:
The role of the locum post is to provide additional strategic leadership in Knowsley's response to Covid-19. The post holder will lead key areas of
Health Protection and Healthcare Public Health as part of the local authority response and leadership for covid-19 and ensuring access to health care services including recovery plans.
The role will also lead and establish a social sciences and behavioural insight approach to improving health outcomes recognising the added issues and complexity the covid-19 pandemic has brought. This is a high profile programme of work that is supported at an executive level within the council.
The post holder will be required to work across the health and social care system, working in collaboration with national, regional and local organisations and communities to improve and protect health.
Respond to public health priorities as agreed with the DPH
Line manage staff where required and provide project supervision of staff and specialty registrars.
Requirements:
Expert leadership in pandemic response, health protection and health care recovery work, reduction in health inequalities and health improvement.
Must be registered with GMC/GDC Specialist Register or UKPHR.
