Salary: £42,000 per annum

Lead the surveillance, prevention, and control of infection within the hospital setting.
Promote and maintain high standards of infection prevention and control practices to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality care for all patients.
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, displaying excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse with a degree-level education or equivalent experience.
Current NMC registration.
Teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent experience.
Evidence of recent infection prevention and control practice updates.
Desirable: Infection Prevention and Control Course qualification.
Experience:
Essential:
Recent experience as a registered nurse in an acute surgical care environment.
Experience and knowledge of infection prevention and control at ward or departmental level.
Desirable:
Experience with surgical site surveillance and tissue viability knowledge.
Knowledge of audit and surveillance, including Surgical Site Infection Surveillance Service (SSISS).
Familiarity with the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) and report writing skills.
Experience in policy and procedure writing.
