Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Independent Scrutineer to work in a Safeguarding Children's Partnership based in London. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's services.
The pay rate for this locum Independent Scrutineer job is £400 per day (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3-month contract.
Summary:
- We want you to help by providing independent leadership to the Safeguarding Partnership ensuring that it fulfils its statutory responsibilities set out in the Children and Social Work Act 2017 and Working Together 2018 and other related legislation and guidance. We also want to learn from routinely talking directly to our children and young people about their lived experiences, understanding their observations about what we do well and what we need to change as a system. We want you to provide Independent leadership to the Merton Safeguarding Children Partnership to facilitate and enable us to be effective, as we seek to embed a practice learning culture with all frontline staff and volunteers.

Requirements of the Independent Scrutineer:
- Recent experience within a similar role
- Sound knowledge of strategic and operational safeguarding
- Extensive experience of developing strong and productive partnerships at an executive level
- Strong aptitude and appetite for strengthening multi-agency working, acting as the professional leader for multi-agency working and for the statutory partners.
- Ability to chair complex multi-agency discussions that result in assurances and changes in policy and practice to improve safeguarding outcomes.
