Sanctuary Social Care is looking for two experienced and dedicated Independent Reviewing Officers (IRO) to work full-time in Barking & Dagenham, within Looked after Children and Child Protection. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for these locum Independent Reviewing Officer jobs is paying £40 - £42 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Monitoring and reviewing all plans for looked after children and children subject to child protection plans to ensure that outcomes improve for children and young people who require statutory services, and that practice meets statutory requirements.
- Independent oversight of child protection and looked after children's cases and ensuring that the child's interests are protected throughout the planning process.
- Monitoring the performance of the local authority and partnership function and identifying areas of poor practice.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within a similar role
