Sanctuary Social Care is looking for an experienced and dedicated Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to work full-time in Southend-on-Sea. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Independent Reviewing Officer job is £36 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 6-month contract.
Summary:
- The purpose of this role is to review the cases of children who are looked after as laid down in Care Planning, Placement & Case Review Regulations England 2015 and Statutory Guidance and Adoption and Children Act 2002 and take all necessary decisions to confirm said Care Plan.
- You will also need to chair Child Protection Conferences in line with Working Together to Safeguard Children and Southend Safeguarding Partnership procedures
Requirements of the Independent Reviewing Officer:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within a similar role
