You will have highly developed specialist knowledge of general nursing and have recent experience of administering vaccines.

As such, you will be able to undertake the following activities: clinical assessment, dilution and drawing up of the vaccine from multi-dose vials and post vaccine observations support.

As a Band 5 Immunisation Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting clinical assessments.

  • The review of complex medical histories and potential adverse reactions.

  • Preparation of the vaccine prior to administration by the immunisers.

The vaccination PODs will be open from 8am until 8pm seven days a week and so you will be expected to work 12 hour shifts of 07:45am – 20:15pm. Payments for these will be in alignment with the NHS England and NHS Improvement cap.
