Innovate Services are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work on a project in Lancashire. The successful candidate will support a new provision that works with a small group of children in care, to support their educational placement, academic learning and deliver outreach support.
We are seeking a part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (0.6fte) to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in this new and exciting initiative.
This post is not your typical or traditional Higher Level Teaching Assistant position, as your time will be wholly dedicated to a small group of between 4 to 8 children and young people who have had experience of accessing the care sector. The successful candidate will work between the residential home and the schools / educational settings that the children / young people attend (so working in a number of schools).
You will receive supervision and guidance from experienced colleagues and the opportunity to meet in small groups for peer supervision and regular professional development.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with Innovate Services you will be expected to demonstrate flexibility, dedication, and a team ethos. You will promote the healthy emotional development and learning of children and young people, by working with and on behalf of individual and a small group of children, with teachers and other adults in schools, with families, social care professionals, other professionals and agencies.
