Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Head of Special Needs Assessment Service to fill a full-time role within Children's Service based in Wandsworth.
The salary for this permanent Head of Service job is £47,511 - £60,574 per annum.
Duties:
- Ensure that SNAS works collaboratively with a range of professionals and provides timely feedback regarding the progress of individual cases, to young people, parents, carers, early years, schools, post-16 and other settings, as well as to other professionals.
- Support the Head of Special Needs, Disability and Psychology in the development of policy and procedures and contribute to developments in the provision of special school and unit places.
- To contribute to the continuous improvement of the services of the Boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond.
- To comply with relevant Codes of Practice, including the Code of Conduct and policies concerning data protection and health and safety.
- To adhere to security controls and requirements as mandated by the SSA's policies, procedures and local risk assessments to maintain confidentiality, integrity, availability and legal compliance of information and systems.
- To promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, maintaining an awareness of the equality and diversity protocol/policy and working to create and maintain a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where all people are treated with dignity and their identity and culture are valued and respected.
- To understand both Councils' duties and responsibilities for safeguarding children, young people and adults as they apply to the role within the council.
Requirements:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
- Registered on Social Work England.
- Management experience is essential.
