Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Head of Service to fill a full-time role within Children's Service based in North West England, within the Children's Centre for Excellence and Assurance Unit.
The pay rate for this locum Head of Service job is £498 per day (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Providing strategic leadership for Children's Social Care through a collaborative framework with Officers, Members and Stakeholders and translating this into tangible outcomes for Children and Young People.
To be responsible for the operation and performance management of a range of safeguarding services, including Child Protection Conferencing, Independent Reviewing Officers, Children's Rights and Participation and the coordination of abuse allegations against those who work with children.
To provide strategic leadership and ensure effective operational management, statutory compliance and quality standards for key children's multi-agency settings including the MASH, Youth Offending Service, Shield and Knowsley Safeguarding Children's Partnership.
Ensuring that there is an accurate and shared understanding of the quality and impact of social work practice being delivered by children's social care and targeted services.
Requirements:
Experience and proven track record as a manager with involvement in front line delivery of services to children and families
MA degree or evidence of post graduate study at MA level (CQSW/Dip SW/CSS)
