Sanctuary Health are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Gambling Treatment Practitioner to fill a full-time role based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
The salary for this permanent Gambling Treatment Practitioner job is £25,000 to £28,000 per annum.

GamCare is now looking to recruit a Gambling Treatment Practitioner to work within our gambling treatment service in Bedfordshire. You will be working with gamblers and others affected by problem gambling to support them in reaching their recovery or treatment goals.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Working in a way that recognises and values diversity and with an understanding of the functional model of Problem Gambling, the model of change, CBT and a commitment to Recovery, the practitioner will:
Provide advice, screening, brief and comprehensive assessments with individual, families or couples.
Provide brief and longer-term structured interventions.
Develop a care plan and ensure it is implemented and reviewed with the client(s) and monitor outcomes.
Provide case management and ensure integrated pathways.
Provide advice and structured support for affected others.
Provide group programmes and support groups.
Maintain written records and data in a timely way
Liaise with agencies, professionals and groups as necessary.
Participate in service promotion and information events.
Work effectively and positively as a team member.
Ensure that all safeguarding issues, including child protection and protection of adults at risk, are dealt with in accordance to GamCare policies and procedures, and local and national statutory requirements

Requirements of the Gambling Treatment Practitioner:
Professional qualification in health/social/youth and community care, e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies.
Or
Demonstrable experience of working in the field of addiction with a commitment to complete NVQ level 3 Health and Social Care.
You should have significant experience in individual client work in the field of addictions or a social care setting with adults or young people.
You should be flexible in using a range of low and high-intensity interventions and modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) tools.
