Financial Accountant (Temp to Perm; 3 month minimum contract) - AAT

About the role
We’re looking for an individual who can work alongside management accounts (x2),
accounts payable manager and an apprentice/junior.
The role will be key for the timely and accurate production of monthly management
accounts and associated cost centre reporting.
This will include, for example:
the preparation and posting of journals.
Developing the apprentice/junior
Ensuring tight reporting deadlines are met, whilst ensuring reporting accuracy is
Experience of consolidated accounts, and divisional/subsidiary reporting
Monthly reconciliation of inter-company balances
Working knowledge of Sage 200 & Sage 50 is desirable
Comprehensive monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheets
Desirable to have a reasonable working knowledge of UK taxes, Corporation Tax,
VAT and PAYE (including P11Ds and PSA reporting), with a particular focus on
payroll taxes and related employment status (critical within a recruitment setting)
A completer-finisher, with the ability to produce high-quality work within the
constraints of tight reporting deadlines
Proven ability to work in a collaborative manner – with multiple teams, and to work
credibly with senior leaders
A desire to progress and develop as an individual, taking on new challenges, and
comfortable researching commercial/technical points of detail
Intermediate/advanced Excel skills
Preferably AAT Qualified
Salary: £26,000- £28,000 dependent on experience.
