Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Family Court Advisor to work full time within a Private & Public Law Safeguarding/Child Protection Team based in Norwich. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.

The pay rate for this locum Family Court Advisor job is £32.50 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 6-month contract.

Duties:

  • Provide high quality early safeguarding and child protection advice, assessments and analysis to the Court
  • Ensure that all incidents or risks of significant harm to the child are dealt with
  • Directly work with, or on behalf of children & families to achieve safe and positive outcomes for children, referring to other services
  • Effective casework planning to timescales

Requirements of the Family Court Advisor:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
  • Ability to produce written work to a high standard
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Confident decision making to work in high conflict situations
  • High quality concise recording and reporting skills
  • Ability to respond to differing case requirements
  • Ability to engage children and adults from diverse backgrounds
