Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Swindon, within the Long-Term Safeguarding Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adult's services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £35.01 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
The North and South Long-Term Safeguarding teams cover both locations in Swindon, long term. Both teams work within pods, to optimise the management, oversight and support to all social workers. There are 5 experienced social workers designated to each POD with an overall team manager. Both teams are now based at the same location (Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler West 3rd Floor) and work alongside the Assessment and Child Protection Team.
The South and North Area Safeguarding Teams requires social workers with experience and skills to undertake comprehensive assessments including parenting assessments in a timely way to inform development of outcome focused care plans. The teams undertake care proceedings within the court, both private and public. Social Workers initiate and complete within court timescales and achieve permanency plans for Adult including adoption.
Car parking is provided when based at SBC, via an electronic permit. And a window permit is provided for street parking when attending visits in Swindon.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adult's services
