Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Swindon, within the Assessment and Child Protection Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £38.01 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
The Assessment and Child Protection Team carry out statutory assessments. After the completion of the assessment, the case is either closed or held to the point of transfer to the Long-Term Locality Teams. The ACP team undertake assessments and investigations of any issues relating to child protection.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- Home visits
- Consulting with other professionals, practitioners and agencies
- Gathering information for the assessment
- Analysing the potential risk to any child or young person
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
