Sanctuary Health has a permanent job vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Endoscopy Practitioner to work full-time based in Worcestershire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The salary for this permanent Endoscopy Practitioner role is £24,375 per annum.
Role Purpose:
To provide quality planned care across the endoscopy patient pathway, supporting and assisting the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead in the management and organisation of care provision within the endoscopy unit.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.
Support the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge / skill, and expertise.
Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.

Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience.
Provide quality planned care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures within own scope of practice.
To participate in the improvement in Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards for flexible endoscopy services including decontamination and clinical care.
To develop and enhance the own skills and knowledge.
Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly.
Respect the patient's dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs.
Participate in departmental communication, policy development, and continuous quality improvement and meetings.
To prove safe and efficient decontamination of flexible endoscopes.
Adhere to departmental decontamination programme for flexible endoscopes.
Participate in the departmental audit program including decontamination, clinical standards, microbiological testing, patient experience etc.

Requirements of the Endoscopy Practitioner:
Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
Basic and advanced Competence / qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
Teaching / Assessing / mentorship qualifications Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01 -06).
ILS.
Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
