What You Will Do:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, evaluating cognitive, emotional, and behavioural aspects to tailor support for each child’s unique needs.
- Prepare detailed reports post-assessment, offering valuable recommendations that aid schools and families in fostering student success.
- Provide expert consultation to educators and parents, crafting strategies that address specific student challenges and enhance educational outcomes.
- Design and implement targeted psychological interventions, working closely with individual students or small groups to promote engagement and achievement.
- Host training sessions for school staff, focusing on child development, bespoke behavioral strategies, and supporting students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary agencies, ensuring holistic support for students by integrating resources from health, social care, and educational teams.
- Advise schools on fostering an inclusive environment that prioritizes emotional wellbeing, creating nurturing spaces for all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Hold a Doctorate or Master’s level qualification in Educational Psychology, or equivalent.
- Registered with the HCPC as an Educational Psychologist.
- Demonstrated experience within educational settings, employing a range of psychological assessment and intervention techniques.
- Proficiently collaborate with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams, showcasing excellent communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working within regions similar to Essex.
- Familiarity with local support services for children and families in the area.
