Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for a dedicated Educational Psychologist to work full-time based in Bromley.
The pay rate for this locum Educational Psychologist job is £500-£600 per day (Assignment rate) and is an 8-month contract.
Main Duties:
Provide information, advice, and intervention on the developmental, learning, psychological, and other needs of young children and pupils.
Demonstrate a commitment to creative and forward-thinking Educational Psychology practice and have the skills to apply this to a range of stakeholders and service users.
Assess, advise, recommend appropriate intervention for the needs of children and young people aged 0-25 particularly vulnerable children, those with behavioural difficulties and special educational needs.
Be familiar with and promote the implementation of the Bromley’s SEND strategy.
Advise on pupils who behaviour puts them at risk of exclusion.
Support, inform, and empower parents, carers, and children and young people.
Work collaboratively and contribute to the development of efficient and effective inter-agency partnerships.
Maintain high standards of practice, record keeping and report writing in accordance with professional codes of practice, the policies, and procedures of the Educational Psychology Service.
Requirements of the Educational Psychologist:
HCPC registered psychologist.
A good honours degree in Psychology recognised by the BPS or its equivalent.
Teaching qualification with relevant teaching experience and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology OR relevant experience working with children and young people and a Doctorate in Educational & Child Psychology.
Knowledge of current legislation and policy in regard to vulnerable children and young people and those with special educational needs.
Knowledge of the developmental stages and needs of children and young people form 0-25 years.
A sound knowledge of current developments in psychology and education and up to date practice in Professional Educational Psychology.
Experience of working with children and young people in their families gained either from previous employment, voluntary work, or training courses.
Experience of working in partnership with other agencies and voluntary services.
Relevant experience from Professional Educational Psychology training or practice as an Educational Psychologist.
Full driving licence and access to personal vehicle is preferable.
