The pay rate for this locum Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist job is £28.99 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 1-month contract, likely to be extended for a further month at least thereafter.

Requirements of the Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist:

  • SLT Degree accredited by HCPC
  • HCPC registration
  • Dysphagia-trained
  • Able to independently manage a caseload of complex dysphagia patients; knowledge of how instrumental assessments contribute to patient management
  • Competent in assessment and management of acquired communication disorders
  • Experience of working with adult acute inpatients
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment with good prioritisation and time management skills
  • Experience across a range of aetiologies
  • Desirable experience: Rehabilitation of patients with neurogenic dysphagia and communication disorders (e.g. acute stroke/brain injury/community service/neuro-rehab unit)/Management of Head & Neck cancer patients
