What you will do:
- Assess patients, develop tailored care plans, and monitor progress for various medical conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Calculate individualised diets for inpatients and outpatients, ensuring optimal nutritional care.
- Visit medical and surgical wards to assess patients requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition, and plan, implement, monitor, and amend regimens as required according to each patient’s clinical condition.
- Organise, produce, and deliver engaging lectures and talks on nutrition and dietetics for nursing staff, other health service personnel, and patient self-help groups.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between the catering and dietetic services to provide patients with appropriate menu choices.
Requirements:
- Registration with the HCPC
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in dietetics, ideally with a focus on renal care and working within the NHS
- Holding a valid driver’s licence is preferable to facilitate ease of travel between sites
