Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a permanent role for a Deputy Ward Manager to work 37.5 hours per week, based in Birmingham.
The salary for this permanent Deputy Ward Manager job is £34,690 per annum.
Duties:
- Take an active role in managing the unit under supervision of the Ward Manager
- Directly participate in patient care, whilst providing clinical leadership to the nursing team, encouraging the delivery of high standards of patient care
- Provide leadership of, and management to the nursing team and in support of the Ward Manager, for whom they will also deputise
- Driving quality reporting within the systems that are used within this hospital
- Deputising in the Ward Managers absence
Requirements of Deputy Ward Manager:
- Valid NMC registration
- A degree or equivalent within Nursing
- Experience at Staff Nurse Band E or Deputy Ward Manager level
- Proven leadership skills, along with a strong drive to develop themselves and the dedicated Multi-Disciplinary Team
- An interest in working with young people and good insight into the principles relevant to Acute services
- A keen interest and motivation to support development within our Acute Team
- An ability to adapt to the individual needs of our diverse patient population
- Ability to make and justify clinical decisions based on policy, experience and risk assessment
- Passion about change, innovation and service improvement
- Willing to undertake a DBS check
