Sanctuary Social Care currently has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Social Work Deputy Team Manager to work within a MASH Team based in Luton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Children Services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this Deputy Team Manager role is £38,813 - £40,760 per annum.
- The position involves line managing, supporting and coaching a team of MASH Officers, assisting with training and ensuring that standards of customer service are maintained.
- You will report to the MASH manager and work with the team, receiving and handling all initial children social care contacts and queries entering the Hub via telephone or in written format.
- You will prioritise the most vulnerable and at risk and recommend appropriate advice and action, escalating to relevant services as required and in line with Local Safeguarding Children's Board Thresholds.
Requirements for the Deputy Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- You must be experienced in the work detailed above, and have a sound working knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, including the Care Planning Regs 2010.
