Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Deputy Team Manager to work full-time within a Fostering Team based in Luton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Deputy Team Manager job is £34 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 6-month contract.

About the role:

  • To work closely with the Team Manager leading the Placement Service in identifying and commissioning appropriate placements or high level and specialist services across in-house provision and the statutory, voluntary, and community sectors in Luton.
  • To ensure children and young people, including those with the most complex needs, have their individual needs met and their welfare safeguarded and promoted to ensure they make good progress and receive effective services so they achieve as well as they can in all areas of their lives.
  • Ensure the team provides effective services, employing best professional practice and standards, which have measurable benefit for service users and ensure effective service redevelopment and pathway redesign is configured as appropriate to meet national and local objectives.

Requirements of the Deputy Team Manager:

  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Extensive experience within children's services
