Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Data Architect to work full-time in remotely. The pay rate for this locum Data Architect job is £700 per day (Assignment rate) and is an initial 6-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our operational teams, policy colleagues, digital programmes, customer insight, and technology to deliver new ways of    working, services and functions, which are efficient, effective and user focussed. 
  • Understand and document the baseline and current state of Data and functions, define the `to be` state including TOM, service design, organisational design, information flows, operational framework and performance metrics.   
  • Ensure that services, processes, systems and future operating models are designed to meet the needs of users, deliver against regulatory requirements, support efficiencies and deliver against HSE’s strategic priorities and objectives. 
  • Lead the implementation of new operating models into live service, ensuring ongoing process compliance and control, including the optimisation of future state operations through the design and implementation of operational frameworks 
  • Build and manage productive and effective relationships with senior stakeholders, including Executive Committee members. 
  • Design and implement data collection and reporting systems
  • Work with other data practitioners, including data scientists and data engineers, to analyse current data models and interpret user requirements in order to build or adapt data models and metadata systems
  • Provide technical guidance for data management, data quality and the reporting, including secure data handling
  • Improve the programme’s understanding of our data architecture and advising product teams on management of data product life cycles
  • Work with data analysts, data practitioners, tech writers, and others to develop nd record architectural standards and processes
  • Present to senior stakeholders with various levels of technical understanding/data literacy
  • Lead the production of data model and associated management analytics
  • Work with our Portfolio Management Office to develop comprehensive business cases for change
  • Lead, line manage, mentor, coach and develop a small team of data and business analysts. 
  • Support the development and communication of change and business improvement principles, guidelines and best practice throughout HSE to build knowledge and optimise service delivery

  • Data modelling. You can produce data models and understand where to use different types of data models. You understand different tools and can compare between different data models. You can reverse-engineer a data model from a live system. You understand industry-recognised data-modelling patterns and standards.
  • Data standards. You can develop and set data standards for an organisation. You can communicate the business benefit of data standards, championing and governing those standards across the organisation.
  • Metadata management. You understand a variety of metadata management tools. You can design and maintain the appropriate metadata repositories to enable the organisation to understand their data assets.
  • Problem resolution (data). You log, analyse and manage problems in order to identify and implement the appropriate solution. You ensure that the problem is fixed.
  • Strategic thinking (data architecture). You have an overall perspective on business issues, events and activities, and an understanding of their wider implications and long-term impact. This could include determining patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements. You focus on outcomes rather than solutions and activities.
  • Turning business problems into data design. You can work with business and technology stakeholders to translate business problems into data designs. You can create optimal designs through iterative processes, aligning user needs with organisational objectives and system requirements.
