Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a locum vacancy for a Band 7 CT Radiographer to work full-time based in Blackpool.

The pay rate for this locum CT Radiographer job is £28.99 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.

Main Duties:

  • Act as a practitioner as defined within IR(ME)R 2017. This requires an assessment of each referral, under a locally agreed criteria and a decision made on whether to proceed with the examination as requested, modify or reject it.
  • To determine and deliver the most appropriate imaging procedures to assist with the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of a wide range of patients and conditions. They will be accountable within the team for ensuring that the standard of clinical radiography is of a high level, quality being of prime importance.
  • To adhere to and practice within the HCPC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • To provide an effective imaging service and support service users as required, as part of a 24/7 shift system (this may include on-call). To competently undertake a wide range of CT examinations, including Interventional CT, Cardiac CT and CT Colonography procedures.
  • To be competent in performing IV cannulation and be able to safely administer contrast agents using high pressure injectors, in-line with departmental and trust documentation.

Requirements of the CT Radiographer:

  • Recent post graduate Radiography experience.
  • Degree or equivalent in Radiography and HCPC registered.
