Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Wellingborough, within the Safeguarding Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is £33,213 - £37,023 per annum.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- To provide consultation and leadership in good practice and acting as signs of safety champions that contributes to ensure the key standards are met in service provision and services are delivered, monitored and reviewed in accordance with relevant statutory and legislative requirements and departmental policies.
- To work alongside social workers and teams on developing best practice as professional lead and/or co-worker, where additional professional guidance and or mentoring is required to enable the allocated worker to effectively manage cases, including the most complex and high profile children's cases.
- To provide induction, professional development, monitoring and formal supervision of non-social work qualified staff and student/trainee social workers as required by the needs of the service; and group supervision, informal supervision, coaching and mentoring of social workers in situations of high complexity ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency context, to develop strong and effective working partnerships with other agencies and services involved with children and families, by providing professional consultation and challenge, to ensure that positive outcomes are achieved in all key areas of their lives.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
