Sanctuary Social Care has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Consultant Social Worker to work full-time within a Duty and Assessment Team based in Northamptonshire. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice and be registered with the Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Consultant Social Worker job is from £33,213 to £37,023 per annum (+£3,000 Golden Hello)
Summary:
- The Consultant Social Workers are non-case holding and will provide support and mentoring to social workers in the team. The role may incorporate supervision and support of Family Support Worker and Life story Workers.
- The Consultant Social Workers will be practice champions for Signs of Safety and the successful candidates will be trained to deliver this support and service. The Consultant Practitioners need to be passionate about children in care and will advocate and support good practice in the service.
Main Duties:
- Supporting the delivery of high quality services to children, young people and their families, using the Signs of Safety Practice, coaching and mentoring.
- Support the team's professional development through a range of ways, including group supervision.
- Support the team to meet its service objectives, key performance targets and statutory duties.
- The role will support the team and other professionals both internally and externally.

Requirements of the Consultant Social Worker:
- Recognised and relevant professional qualification e.g. DipSW, CQSW, CSS.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (Social Work England)
- You will be a qualified Social Worker of 3 years+ with current Social Work England registration.
