Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Consultant Social Worker to work full-time in Wareham, Dorset, within the Advise & Duty Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Consultant Social Worker job is £37 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To ensure that all new referrals to Dorset Children's Services are directed through consultation/conversation to the right service at the right time.
- To provide advice and support to other professionals, asking key questions about the risks and strengths within families and then agreeing together who is best placed to meet the needs of a child.
- Lead professional, offering advice and consultation to partner professionals, signpost to appropriate alternative services available in the localities and take social work and early help referrals to Children's Services.
Requirements of the Consultant Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
