This is a thrilling opportunity for a Consultant Social Worker to join the Child Protection Team in Ipswich. If you have a knack for supporting and guiding teams while ensuring child safety, this role is for you. Situated at The Mix in Stowmarket, you will need to commit to a minimum of three days per week in the office, with the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements. Boasting a competitive rate between £39.50-42 per hour under an umbrella, this role seeks someone with experience not only in child protection but also in supervising social workers, including those newly qualified. What you will do:
- Provide robust support to the Team Manager in supervising and guiding social workers within the Child Protection Team.
- Offer oversight and ensure operational excellence across the team’s functions.
- Undertake complex child protection work to safeguard children’s wellbeing.
- Mentor and support newly qualified social workers to develop and enhance their skills.
- Engage with families and multi-agency teams to improve outcomes for children.
- Attend and actively participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to continually enhance professional practice.
