Sanctuary Health has a permanent job vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Consultant Acute Care Physician to work in Newport.
This salary for this permanent Consultant Physician role is £79,957 - £103,806 per annum
Job Summary:
- You will be joining an established team of eight WTE equivalent Acute Care Physicians (ACPs) already in post in RGH who provide between 5 and 7 sessions each to Acute Medicine, depending on their job plan.
- The aim will be that Acute Care Physicians will manage MAU 7 days per week and will be responsible for all medical admissions during that time, supporting both the MAU and the ED.
Main Duties:
- To ensure the provision of a first class clinical service
- Provide effective leadership to all staff engaged in the specialty
- Sustain and develop teaching and research wherever appropriate
- Undertake all work in accordance with the Health Board's procedures and operating policies
- Conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Division's and Health Board's service plans
- Maintain the confidence of business plans and development strategies formulated for the specialty, the Medical Division or the Health Board
Requirements of the Consultant Physician:
- Full GMC registration
- Previous experience at Consultant grade
- Previous Acute Care experience
