Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Compliance Officer to work based in Wandsworth.

The pay rate for this Compliance Officer role is £23.10 per hour (LTD), has an initial 3-month contract and is to work 37.5 hours per week (9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday).

Main duties:

  • Support and assist the Business Management Team in promoting the understanding of and compliance with operational, quality and corporate governance standards
  • Develop and be responsible for maintaining systems that ensure and demonstrate compliance with all regulatory, statutory and best practice standards for the division
  • Develop and implement effective monitoring and audit systems to measure performance
  • Liaise with key stakeholders in relation to all aspects of compliance, preparing reports, notifying of breaches and in collaboration with the relevant manager, developing action plans to achieve compliance
  • Support the Divisional Control Room including submission of Sit Rep data in a timely manner
  • Support the Business Management Team in the administration of meetings as necessary, including the completion and maintenance of action trackers
  • Monitor and track progress of milestones and recovery plans and escalate any deviation and slippages from the baseline plan
  • Support the division in the development, population, management and implementation of Business Continuity Plans, Emergency Preparedness Plan and associated response
  • Support the induction process of new and inexperienced members of staff to be familiar with local environment, policies and procedures
  • Working with the relevant managers ensure that any risks of non-compliance are identified and mitigated and reported in accordance with procedures and regulations
  • Provide advice and support to staff and managers on compliance matters
  • Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with other staff members characterised by Trust, mutual respect, and open, honest communication
  • The role will demand frequent face to face, written, verbal and electronic communications with a range senior managers and other key stakeholders
  • Maintain personal and professional competencies and make changes to own practice where required
  • Identify opportunities to improving service provision and the work of the team where appropriate

Requirements of the Compliance Officer:

  • Substantial experience working within a similar role
  • You must be System 1 trained
