Sanctuary Health are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work full-time within an Older Adults Memory Service based in Rotherham. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Mental Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Community Psychiatric Nurse role is £25.23 per hour (Assignment rate) and is available on a 3-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Provide a high quality, accessible service for patients in the Rotherham area, who are experiencing memory problems.
- Complete initial assessments, cognitive testing and monitoring of the needs of clients experiencing memory problems.
- Deliver diagnosis and provide post diagnosis support.
- Provide ongoing education/guidance/support to clients and carers both during and after assessment.
- Work as a supplementary/independent prescriber.
- Provide a holistic patient assessment and structured carer interview.
- Responsible for completing specialist initial assessment and interpretation of results to provide a baseline for future treatment/care.
- Work autonomously and show initiative when planning clients care.
- Deliver diagnosis and offer expert advice regarding the diagnosis and treatment and provide education/support to both clients and carers.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained)
- NMC registration and a valid live pin
- Recent UK Mental Health Nursing experience
