Are you interested in a new Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) role?
Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to work in Westminster.
The pay rate for this full-time role is £25.00 - £27.18 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To answer crisis line calls to professional's and families and triage appropriate route of care Assessment
- To undertake initial mental health and risk assessments of young people following acts of deliberate self-harm and/or in an acute mental health crisis
- To consult with staff in local CAMHS teams to provide further specialist assessment if necessary
- To follow the assessment protocol for such cases and to complete the clinical record on System One
- To formulate and implement care packages for the treatment and management of the clients' mental health problems
- To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options in consultation with the multi-disciplinary team, taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models
- To ensure effective verbal and written communication with all staff and clients
- To maintain clinical records appropriately and in line with the Trust policy
- To comply with London Child Protection Procedures on the management of child protection issues as well as Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust internal procedures
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Valid NMC registration under Mental Health
- Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable
- A degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained)
